So what is this edible experiment. . .

Tarragon Egg Salad Sandwich with Ham and Turkey and wild mustard.

This is a Tarragon Egg Salad Sandwich with ham and turkey.

So this will need a few tweaks before it is available on the truck.  One thing is that I want to use Hawaiian rolls. Would have used them but I was out.

So lets look how you can make this quick and easy recipe.

Step 1. Get all your ingredients together.

You will need mayo, celery, ham (or turkey ham), turkeyhard boiled eggs, tarragon, mustard, (or tarragon mustard), salt, pepper.

Lately I have been in love with wild mustard. It is everywhere in Orange County. So I grabbed some from my yard…it is really growing wild in my front yard.

Don’t forget to wash your wild mustard 

Next step is to pell the eggs. (If you are lazy) there are pre-boiled and peeled eggs available at Costco.

Next, cut them up like Edward Scissorhands trying to juggle.

Then do the same thing to the celery….stupid celery had it coming. How dare you have negative calories.

Dice up some onions

Next add some mayo

Then add some Tarragon Mustard (or just mustard with dried Tarragon)

Now beat that thing like it owned you money.

 Throw in some salt and pepper to taste and CONGRATULATIONS. The egg salad portion is done.

Now start that layering process on each slice of bread. Mustard leaves on one side.

 then cheese on the other

Followed by egg salad, ham and turkey. 

 Now very carefully (and quickly) smash the two pieces of bread.

Now you have a delicious Turkey, Ham and Swiss, Tarragon Egg Salad Sandwich.

No Need To Fight Over the Last Zombie Head…

Color Mob 5K

On Saturday Dec. 8th Burger Monster joined by Garlic Scapes, Kala, and a few others were at Irvine lake for the Color Mob 5K.

Over 4000 people participating in this colorful 5K run.  Color was being thrown everywhere!!  Not to mention the mob of people devouring burgers from Burger Monster.  Runners were lined up for as far as the eye could see just to get a burger after their run!

On Saturday,

Burger Monster joined by 8 other trucks drove out to Moreno Valley’s March Air Field Museum.  Sure it was a little rainy, but the doesn’t stop the beast.

There were over 2000 people at the event!  Lots of old military planes and helicopters.  Not to mention some of the best trucks were there to serve this excited crowd.  It was incredible!

Last night on Wednesday November 14th, 2012 the Burger Monster Crew was at Oak Creek Elementary School in Irvine, attending their book fair.
We brought the Monster to all the Mini Monsters our there getting books!  It was a cool night to get a hot burger!!

Burger Monster was there with The Viking Truck and Ninjas with Attitude.  The trucks teamed up and donated a portion of the proceeds back to the school!  Just another way gourmet food trucks try to help the community!

The Crew Being Silly on the Truck

Last night was smooth fun filled night at Street Food Tuesday.  Lots of family and friends chowing down on Burger Monster’s burgers and sliders!

Street Food Tuesday happens every Tuesday night.  You can check our Calendar to see what Tuesdays we are there.

There is plenty of complementary parking and there is no fee to join in the festivities.  So check out Street Food Tuesday’s!

Lines are forming before the trucks are even open! But totally worth the wait!!

While the votes were being counted last night, Burger Monster and our food truck friends were out serving up delicious food!  Home Depot in Cypress off the corner of Lincoln & Valley view is home to Street Food Tuesdays.  They host food trucks every Tuesday Night from 5:30-9pm.  If you don’t want to cook, if it is date night, or whatever the case is head out to Street Food Tuesdays!!  Nothing says America like burgers and fries!!
